Puma’s first collaboration with Parisian vegan footwear brand Rombaut has arrived, bringing a sneaker that looks almost like it’s floating in mid-air. Dubbed the Levitation, this innovative design features a perpetually lifted heel, staying true to its name.

First revealed at Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025, the Rombaut x Puma Levitation comes in two colorways—white and black. The sneaker embraces Rombaut’s eco-conscious ethos with an upper composed of 60% polyurethane resin and a 40% blend of recycled plastic. The design features Puma’s signature formstrip logo, which flows from the sole, across the upper, and attaches dramatically to the lifted heel—making it the standout element of this collaboration.

A Modern Take on the 2007 Levitation

The Levitation isn’t an entirely new model—Puma originally introduced it in 2007. However, Rombaut’s redesign takes the unique silhouette to an even more extreme level by increasing the gap between the heel and the outsole.

Rombaut describes the design as a representation of Stoic philosophy, symbolizing personal growth and transformation. The futuristic minimal upper reflects a world of peace, harmony, and pragmatism—a vision of both nature and human progress.

The Levitation Sock

In addition to the sneaker, Rombaut created the Levitation Sock, which replaces the sneaker’s conventional leather-like upper with a sock that can be folded up. While keeping the same raised sole style, this version offers a more lightweight and flexible substitute.

Award-Winning Vegan Fashion

The Rombaut x Puma Levitation line received the 2024 PETA Vegan Award for Best Vegan Fashion Collaboration from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in recognition of its creative use of vegan materials.
